Betty J. Hancock, 90 of Vienna, died Sunday afternoon, June 5, 2016, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. She was born June 23, 1925 in Bellevue, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late David William and Anna Elizabeth Young Jones. She was a lifetime Trumbull county resident. Betty was a 1943 graduate of Bristolville High School. She worked for 15 years as a teller at Union Savings and Trust Company retiring in 1983. She then worked for 8 years until 1995 as a receptionist for Dr. Charles Chung in Warren. Betty was a member of Vienna Presbyterian Church, where she had served as an elder. She was a member of the Vienna-Fowler Senior Citizens and was an avid reader. She enjoyed crocheting, day trips and in her later years, adult coloring brooks. Her husband, Leland J. "Pete" Hancock, whom she married July 10, 1960, preceded in death February 18, 2002. One son, David P. Hancock preceded her in death in 1995; one sister, Dorothy Lewis and two brothers, David and Roy Jones also preceded in death. She is survived by one daughter, Nannette B. Seiple of Vienna; one son, John L. Hancock of Austintown and two grandsons, Cory Hancock and Ryan (Maria) Hancock. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren and also from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Judi Bender officiating. Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at Vienna Presbyterian Church, 4295 Warren Sharon Rd., Vienna, OH 44473.
