Ralph E. Weimer Jr, 69, of Howland Twp. passed away 12:55 PM Thursday July 21, 2016 surrounded by his family at the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness. Ralph was born June 16, 1947 in McKeesport, PA the son of the late Ralph E. and Roxie Shotts Weimer Sr. A lifetime area resident, Ralph graduated from Girard High School and attended Binghamton Bible College, Youngstown State University and Kent State University. He was employed at RMI Titanium for 36 years in various capacities retiring in 2003. He also was a realtor and was an active real estate investor. Ralph was very involved in the community and was a baseball coach for the Howland Athletic Club, equipment manager for the Howland Little Tigers, and served as trustee for the Howland Booster Club and Howland Quarterback Club. He was a devoted member of the North Mar Church where he served as an usher, a volunteer driver for the "Hoops for Homework" project , and participated in a Bible study group. Ralph enjoyed attending high school football games, was an avid Cleveland Indians and OSU football fan, but most important to him was being a good husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Linda (Stiles) whom he married Aug. 8, 1970, children Brett (Rachel) Weimer of Atlanta, GA and Gretchen (John) Myers of Cranberry Twp. PA, and 3 grandchildren Delaney Myers, Aubrey Myers, and Brooks Weimer whom he adored. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday July 25, 2017 at North Mar Church. The Rev. Myron Daum will officiate. Friends will be received from 5-7 PM Sunday at Roberts-Clark Chapel and from 10 to 11 AM Monday at the church. Interment will be in Girard City Cemetery.
