Richard "Rich" E. Rice, age 62, of Tennessee, passed away June 20, 2017 Rich was born July 26, 1954 in Oakland, Maryland to Stuart and Alberta (White) Rice. He was a 1972 Graduate of Mathews High School; Rich received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Youngstown State University. Rich was an engineer with Barrette Outdoor Living, Bulls Gap, TN for many years. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed Nature, feeding his birds and deer, hunting and hiking in the mountains of Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his father Stuart Rice, and his brothers Kevin and Steven Rice. Rich is survived by his Mother, Alberta; his sons, Jeffery Rice and Zachery Rice; his sisters, Maryann Reinert and Gina Hodgkinson, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 11-12PM, Sunday, July 9th at the Lane Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel. 164 N. High St. in Cortland. Where the memorial service will be celebrated at Noon by Celebrant Randi Pappa. Inurnment in Garrett County Memorial Gardens in Oakland, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
