He was recruited and played for the farm team for the New York Giants. Ted then contributed his talents and his love of the game to his local youth, serving as a volunteer coach for Girls Softball and Boys Baseball in Boardman Little League and Boardman Community Baseball for over 10 years. Ted was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 565 of Boardman, MRTA, ORTA, and a lifetime member of NEA. He participated in the Teachers’ Bowling League, Senior Bowling League, and Boardman Baseball Breakfast Group.
